An Amish Country Calamity 2 (Lancaster County Yule Goat Calamity (An Amish Fiction Lancaster County Saga on Raising Goats) Book 3) Reviews
I love this series and as soon as I read book 1, I purchased the rest of them series. There is enough background information in each book to read them out of context but I don't think you will want to miss any of them. At the beginning of the series Annie Miller accidentally orders $3000 worth of goats. Throughout the series we follow the life of Annie as she struggles with learning to care for goats and how to grow up. The book is at times laugh out loud funny and other times I wanted to hug and comfort Annie. I enjoyed this book and anyone who likes to read about the Amish will also, in my opinion.
I LOVED this book! Annie is such a strong, vibrant and interesting character -- and so funny too! I just found myself smiling all of the way through this book. Well written, with lots of sweet family moments as well as some pretty realistic showings of young love (and its pitfalls). One thing I really loved about this book was that actions had real, and sometimes painful consequences. Everything felt true to life, and I really love how the author shows Annie, who is clearly a tomboy, also taking steps towards being a woman in her own right. I'd say more, but I don't want to give the book away (especially the ending -- WOW!) Great read! Highly Recommended!
Another excellent read by Ruth Price. Annie is slowly growing up with so much more to learn n experience. She has found how dangerous ones actions can be to oneself n to others. I find myself praying for Ruthie Zoom a small child who was hurt n in IF I, I know this just a character in the book but my heart goes out to her n her family.
Amish book discusses good virtues and has a good story-line throughout. Easy to read and will deffo read some of her other books.
As with the previous book I loved this book. Found myself smiling and chuckling throughout the book.
This is a well-written book and the characters in this book are complex and fleshed-out. I love the series.
Thanks again for the ARC...Ruth's books are always a treasure.....Loved it.....
