Solar System for Kids: The Planets and Their Moons Reviews
The solar system is a complicated but very interesting subject to study. The problem is, school textbooks are so heavy with texts, they become very boring to children. The good news is, workbooks such as this exist. Using a hands-on and picture-dominated approach to learning, a child would have absolute fun learning about the star and the planets. My kids love science and I try to read to them during the sporting events instead of them playing video games. The books in this series have wonderful pictures along with little facts that go along with them. The words are easy for readers that have been reading for a couple of years but if your child is too young for that this book is great to read to them! The book is written in plan terms that kids can understand. It’s a great way to introduce science facts to kids. Each book in this series introduced one particular aspect of science and portrays it in a way that makes kids want to learn more. The book “Solar System for Kids: The Planets and Their Moons” is one of the books in a series of educational books written by Professor Baby and published by Speedy Publishing. This book, which is a part of the “Children's Astronomy & Space Books” series, provides children with a chance to learn about astronomy in a fun and exciting way. These books are filled with exceptional photographs and content geared towards capturing a child's attention span. Easy and fun to read! These books are excellent for use in the classroom or at home. Excellent tool to help children not only learn about astronomy, but it helps to encourage them to read as well.
I am a home school teacher of a five year old and use this book and several others from Baby Professor as part of our curriculum. This book is a short read that offers plenty of opportunity to expand on vocabulary. I assisted my five year old in reading the book, then took the words that were not yet in his vocabulary, gave him the definition, and used those words in his spelling lessons. He also enjoys attempting to read the books to his younger sisters and brother, showing them the photos, and telling them what he learned. I would recommend this book and all others from Baby Professor to any parent who plays an active role in their child's learning. I received this Kindle read at no cost too which is always a plus for a home school teacher!
This book came into my kindle collection at the perfect timing. I am currently teaching my students all about the Solar system. They like to learn about planets and their moons. Our curriculum touches on the subject, but I'm always looking for ways to supplement my learning materials in the classroom.
