Bead Jewelry 101: Master Basic Skills and Techniques Easily through Step-by-Step Instruction Reviews
I've looked a lot of these types of books over, as I am a beginning beader, and this is, hands down, the best.
This book provides clear information, instructions and a few good patterns. I have been beading for two months and was overwhelmed with number of available beading books that have high ratings. I bought several different books and this one is one of three that I rely on for reference. It is good for beginners and intermediates that want to expand their skills in areas covered in this book.
Wasn't impressed with this book.
Wow, I really love this book!!! I found it at my local library and took it out, it was so great and had so many simple ideas, that I had to go out and buy it. This is the first jewelry making book I have purchased(it is that good); I never found one that I really felt that I wanted to spend money on.
This is a good book for beginners. Clear instructions, photos, and supply lists. However, I was a little disappointed by the designs. I was hoping the projects they offerred would be more like the jewelry they sell at the fairs and shows at which they sell. The designs are a little pedestrian, quite frankly. And they do not offer a list of suppliers that sell the bits and bobs that are required for the designs. So the intrepid burgeoning jewelry maker is lef to haunt the interwebs and bead shops in hopes of finding even some of the products needed. So if you are a beginning and have never bought so much as a seed bead in your life, you may find yourself shelving the book in fustration.
Well FINALLY a beginning bead book that is user friendly. I can't say enough about this wonderful book.
