Daniel's Grr-ific Stories! (Comes with a tigertastic growth chart!): Welcome to the Neighborhood!; Daniel Goes to School; Goodnight, Daniel Tiger; ... Baby Is Here! (Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood) Reviews
These books are fantastic for the little Daniel Tiger fan! We got these for my son for his 3rd birthday. He was absolutely the right age to have these books. My 5 year old daughter loves them as well!
This is a great little set of books. My biggest complaint is that Daniel Tiger is geared towards toddlers and these books are pretty flimsy. The paper is thin and I imagine will rip easily. They should skip the growth chart and make the books board books or hard back with thicker paper. I probably won't buy other Daniel Tiger books because of the quality.
My 2.5 yr old watches Daniel Tiger every single morning, so he was pretty excited to get these books. We read them every night before bed. They're just like the episodes he's seen before which always provide lessons and are educational. The books just re-iterate this. He also loves that he can carry around all his books in one pack that has a handle. Good for on the go when we visit the Grandparents. I only wish the pages were a little bit sturdier.
This pack of books is a perfect Daniel Tiger starter kit! The 6 books are adorable and feature Daniel and his friends in adventures straight from the TV show. I bought these for a classroom and not only do they provide great story time material, but the students love reading and looking at them on their own time. It comes with a paper growth tracking chart, that I probably won't use, but if I had bought them for my own child it would be a fun thing to do. The case that the books come in has a nice little handle, I'm sure that is super helpful for a young reader who wants to take them with them in the car to to friends house.
When I originally ordered this, I was most pleased with the fact that I was getting 6 books for the price of 2-3, had I purchased them separately. Due to the lack of photos, I didn't realize that in fact the 6 books came in an adorable Velcro-closing carrying case with a handle!! My 3-year old has not set these down (other than to read them) since they arrived!! Also, it comes with a growth chart! In the realm of growth charts, it is a simple, paper one, however it made my daughter light up ear to ear and is perfect to hang from the side of our refrigerator where she can see Daniel and his/her buddies all day (during our unpleasant kitchen remodel). This is perfect for your Daniel obsessed little one and would make a tremendous gift as well.
My son loves this box of books. He also got very excited when he saw the growth chart which is good quality for basically being free. The main lessons include: "when we do something new, let's talk about what we'll do" and "grown-ups come back". I purchased this as we have doctor visits lined up prior to starting "school" in September so it was a prefect match!
If your kid loves Daniel Tiger this is a good pack to get. It tells stories from the TV show so it is familiar. Good length for bedtime story.
We just love Daniel Tiger! These are not board books so depending on your child. My son is 16 months so he's going to tear the pages... but he loves daniel tiger and he loves books. These books are great to read sout loud and have good pictures that coincide with the shows.
