This is a good chapter book. There are black and white pictures throughout. My grandkids were excited about it’s updated references. For instance, it made reference to using a tablet. The storyline explains blood cells and the process that takes place when something invasive enters the blood... in magic school bus style of course :).

This is a great series for readers transitioning to chapter books. However, of the first three books of the series (this one, Sink or Swim, and Monster Power) this book’s plot line involving antibodies and t-cells was the most challenging. My younger kid is an advanced readee and breezed through the first two, this one was more of struggle to comprehend.
