Spoiler alert Talking about Jesus is awkward We love to share good news with the world We tweet about a great new restaurant, we share pictures of our newborn child and we celebrate about receiving that sought after promotion We are evangelists for many great things So why don t we do the same with Jesus It s not hard to see that we bring our own anxieties and awkwardness into every evangelistic conversation Not to mention the often vast differences between our experiences of God and religion and those of the people around us And then there s the inner awkwardness of our conversation partners, who are actively contending, even unconsciously, with the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives Evangelism is awkward, yes But on the other side of that awkwardness is something amazing transformed lives, healed relationships, new vision, eternal life After spending years working with college students and churchgoers, Beau Crosetto hasn t solved the problem of awkwardness in evangelism But he s learned how to push through it and how we can set ourselves and those we love at ease as we enter into conversations of eternal consequence Read this book and move beyond awkward into the most awesome privilege of God s people proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ....

Beyond Awkward: When Talking About Jesus Is Outside Your Comfort Zone Reviews
I love the vast amount of stories. Beau puts himself on the line and I appreciated that. His personal stories of Evangelism were inspiring and relatable. I do wish he would have shared just a bit more of his own personal misses, particularly in group Evangelism. But all in all, the book is one of the most helpful in Evangelism. I plan on recommending to friends, other Christian leaders, and our students!
Beyond awkward was beyond AMAZING. This book came in the knick of time with me starting work and gaining confidence in order to share the gospel with my clients. I work as a clinical social worker and they have the opportunity to talk about spirituality throughout our time together and 80% of them have brought it up! Beau is REAL in this book, and gives realistic examples backed up by scripture that'll help you gain confidence in sharing the faith and truly understanding it doe the truth that it is! Highly recommend it!
This was something I really needed to read. It confirmed many things I've thought about evangelism. The author says we shouldn't make people feel "like a project." Amen! Also the idea of telling Jesus stories from the gospels is compelling. It's honest and encouraging writing that will help many of us do better with stepping into evangelistic opportunities!
This is a great book by a wonderful author. Very down to earth and great approach for talking about Jesus to non-believers. Beau's personal journey of coming to faith is very interesting, as well.
Very informative. Good reading.
A balanced & challenging book that doesn't give a one size fits all perspective to witnessing. A helpful addition to the evangelism book genre!
Great book on getting out of your comfort zone to share the gospel. I thought there were some good practical suggestions to follow and thoughts to consider when sharing Christ. Good read if you are interested in relational evangelism
I have read a lot of books on sharing your faith, most ended in "I can't do that". This book is inspiring and encouraging and Beau makes you realize we can all "do this"! His words are simple, powerful and Spirit filled as he shares a lifetime of real life stores that give empowering every day examples.
