We first saw this book at the library and my almost 3 year old son loved it and read it 10 times there. I decided to buy it used since it was all that is available - excellent book! Very interactive and well drawn with (detail oriented) pop up scene

This was purchased as a gift for a train-loving toddler. He loves the book and likes to look at the pages from all different angles. The text is similar to "The Wheels on the Bus." You can sing the whole book and the repetitive words are very engaging and easy for a toddler to learn. Amazing pop-ups! Very detailed. However, the reader must treat this book with care. An excited toddler may want to touch and pull the pop ups and accidentally tear something. I recommend this book for ages 2-3 with supervision, and ages 4 and up to read independently or with someone. Very satisfied with my purchase and the quality of this book!

This book was the perfect birthday gift for our friend, a little boy turning 4. The mom suggested books as they already had enough toys, which I completely understand, so this was great! The mom really just loved it and hope it stays like a keepsake, in the family. The two year old sister loved it as well. We might have to get one for our family, too.

GREAT book for boys (and maybe girls, too!) ages 2.5-4. Always something new to find in the pop-ups from the delivery man at the train station to the cat sleeping on the porch in the city. It's great for children who enjoy looking and talking about the pictures more than a true book reading.

We used this book in a preschool class I taught. The children loved it! It was simple and easy for them to follow. The pop ups are nicer than what you find in most books. I ordered it for a child who was having a train themed birthday party. So unfortunate this simple classic is out of print. Get it while you can.
