Things to Do with Dad Reviews
Purchased for a great nephew who's getting old enough to help dad out!
What a lovely book, and perfect for fathers’ day which is coming up next month.
THINGS TO DO WITH DAD is an almost completely wordless book about a day that a young son spends with his father. Their day begins exciting enough when Dad makes pancakes with help from his son. The son thinks that the day is going to be so great. However, Dad has a to do list he has to accomplish. The son becomes disenchanted as it seems his father is more involved with the list of chores than spending time with him. Then the boy reaches out to his father and convinces him to use his imagination like he does and soon the chores change into a to do list the boy has imagined. THINGS TO DO WITH DAD is a very sweet book that forces adult readers to remember the important things in life.
This is a perfect story for a young child. You will enjoy reading this story often. The story introduces a boy and his father who are working through a "To Do List". However the little boy becomes bored with the jobs his dad is accomplishing and decides to take matters into his own hands so he and his dad can have some fun. Using his creativity the child convinces his dad to use his imagination to run away and join a circus and to sail a pirate ship. The illustrations are also by the author. They are colorful and shows the joy that the father and son enjoy together.
