Antique Kilims of Anatolia Reviews
Gives a great, detailed history about the origins of the rugs, and the origins of the designs within the rugs. It is fascinating to read about Anatolia as wel. Nestled between 3 continents, the cultures of Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East all influence each other, and created a unique culture of its own. As well as all of that fascinating info and history, the book also gives loads of beautiful examples. I am becoming obsessed with textiles, and very glad this book is now part of my collection.
This is the updated version of the first edition of The Tribal Eye. A fantastic piece of work. very insightful and well researched. insightful with many discussions never approached in other similar books. highly recommended! my favorite textile book. An essential work for any kilim enthusiast's library.
