Mummy Laid an Egg! Reviews
Easy approach to "breaking it to the kids" I gave it to my daughter when she was about 8 or 9. She didn't think anything of it, maybe because we are not all uptight in our household. Sex is a natural thing and they can relate to the drawings. Anyhow.... this book worked for us. Its a big deal if you make it one. I ACTUALLY OWN 2 COPIES !!
OMG, I LOVE this book!!!
LOVE THIS BOOK! fantastic for kids.
This is my favorite book ever !!!
This book is a howl.
Very funny and accurate and easily told, for a sex story. I read it at my sister's and had to purchase it second-hand online. Worth having for future generations (as well as my own amusement).
My 5 year old asks a lot of questions about where babies come from and I wanted to start to answer his questions before he starting getting information elsewhere. This is silly and I'm not sure about the comical depictions of sexual positions. I haven't shown yet- preparing myself for possible questions and how I will answer them.
I have given this book to many parents of young children and parents-to-be. Babette Cole does a wonderful job of illustrating the EXACT way to answer the all too expected question, "Where do babies come from?" Her illustrations and text are exactly what a parent needs to sit down with a child and explain the "truth." I have purchased several copies and keep them on hand to gift when invited to a baby shower. After years of hearing "the stork" and other such fabrications, it is refreshing to know that there is a book that tells the truth in an amusing, honest way.
