The Halloween Play (Laura Geringer Books (Paperback)) Reviews
Book was in good condition but it wasn't a hardcover it was a board book! Not the same thing. Will use it but a bit disappointed.
Love this darling book! Three and five year old grandsons enjoy the details of the preparations - and Love how Roger surprises at the end of the play! a favorite.
Awesome story. My students loved this book and Roger the mouse. We used this as a mentor text!
My daughters love this book, as do I! It is well written and equally if not Better than her books that followed, If you give a moose and/or mouse a cookie, and other books. She is talented no doubt. very sweet. My 3 year old wants me to read it to her every night religiously!
Darnit, I think this book's prose and pics- the whole deal- is better than the "If You Give a (Anything) a (Anything)" series. Somehow more charming. Colors are not "bleak", as another reviewer stated that the Horn review stated...some of the action takes place in a darkened auditorium, and the first page gives you a feeling that fall is in the air. That's all. Story is sweet and told in a straightforward manner, so kids will not leave the room. Hey, if like the movie "Pumpkinhead", you will love this. Just a joke. Anyway, this is brought out when Halloween is about to hit every year, and we love it more every time we read it. Copyright 1983.
This is my favorite book and is how I got my love for Halloween
love this author
This a wonderful book. The illustrations are adorable and the storyline is perfect for a kid. I love it as much as my daughter does.
